Defense Against Darknessby: Reymond John Beltran
One stormy night a batch of fishing crew was in the middle of the pacific, fishing for swordfish and other high-valued fish. The fishing crew lead by Captain Stewart, who was a very brave and Bold captain, was sailing in the pacific ocean with their small fishing boat, with a couple of men aboard, they were confident that they'll reach an island to take shelter against the harsh weather. But giant waves slammed the fishing boat, one after another, from side to side they were propelled from right to left, the waves that hit them threw them off course. Not knowing where to go, without any instruments onboard that may help them navigate, the crew was lost in the middle of the pacific. All the crew members were wet and some of them sick, with fresh fishes on board, they can't afford having the salt water reach the fresh fishes or there's no money for them. They did everything to keep any salt water from reaching the freezer where all the fish they worked hard for is. Waves as high as buildings swept across around them, some men falling in the dark cold ocean as waves carried them overboard. For three days they have been living under this hell-like weather but something even bigger is about to hit them. Accidentally after being hit off course, a crew went outside the cabin to check for any signs of land, but instead he saw something else... A gigantic wave is coming in their way the size of a 50 buses which were put on top to each other, he quickly ran to warn the Captain, but it was too late, the captain tried to steer the ship but in the blink of an eye, the gigantic wave devoured them, for hours, surviving men were swimming for their lives, in the middle of the pacific ocean, they all know that help is not coming, and survival is impossible, but they're sufferings weren't over yet. The men soon realized that they were slowly being sucked by a whirlpool which looked like a round plate of water from above, the men shouted and struggled, but there is nothing they can do, one by one they accepted that it was their time and all they can do was pray. Twenty men was aboard that fishing vessel, four died when waves hit the boat from side to side and the other sixteen were sucked into the whirlpool. As each one disappeared in the middle of the whirlpool, the last cries of their voices can be heard by one next to be sucked by whirlpool. Days later, Captain Stewart woke up on a beach in an unknown island, suddenly a strange being appeared in front of him. But the exhausted Captain cannot do anything because of exhaustion and slowly fainted. He then woke up inside a hut alone, he stood up but wounds he got from his adventure still hurts and he could not walk well, as he walked to the next room he saw another one of his crew member. It was Larry, his old time friend and also his 2nd mate in his fishing boat, he also survived the wreckage and was found on a rocky terrain near the shore miles away from where the captain was found. They both don't know anything about who or what saved them, but moments later an indigenous looking man entered their hut, Larry said slowly " HI! weeee haaaavvvveeeee beeennnnn ssssuuuucccckkkedddd byyyy aaaa llaaaarrrrrggggeeee sssppiiiiinnnniiiiinnnggg wwaaaaatttteeerrrrr ooooofffff dooommmmm!! Annnnndddd ooouuuuurrrrr ffllllooooaaaaattttiiiinnnnggg tttrrrraaaannnssspppooorrrt waaaasssss deeesssttrrrooyyedddd byyyyyy aaaaaaa mmmoooonnnsssstteeeeerrrrrr wwwwaatttteeerrrrr attttaaaaacccckkkk!!!! BBUUUUttttt, weeeeee ccccoooooommmmeeeee iiinnnnnn pppeeeeeeaaaaccccceeee! wwweeeeeee meeeeaaaannnn yyyoooouuuu noooooo haaaaarrrrmmm!! demonstrating everything he said with his arms. But to their surprise the indigenous man could speak english, he said "What are you talking about boy? Your ship got destroyed by waves and you got sucked inside a whirlpool? I can speak english you know... No need to baby talk me." and Captain Stewart and Larry was so surprised! Captain Stewart asked " Well Mr. Indigenous, If you can understand english, where are we?" The Indigenous Man Answered " Hey look Pal, first of all my name is not Mr. Indigenous, I am Karantski, the translator in this village, and if your asking where you are, you're in Data Sumahuti, One of the four major islands in this region, we are the people of the earth element, the other three islands are the people of wind element, water element and fire element." Larry suddenly asked "Data what? where is this on earth anyway? My gps cannot track our position anywhere." Karantski laughed and answered "You are not in your world right now, the whirlpool that ate you is not an ordinary whirlpool either, that whirlpool is a gateway between your world and ours, your world is the futuristic version that we all yearned for, but our world is the peaceful version without too much technology but full of nature and strange creatures" Captain Stewart asked "But why did the portal open?" Karantski was put to a halt and said "It was the Fire people, they opened the portal, they unleashed a terrible creature into your world. The creature they released was known here as "Yarakito" the creature had two heads long necks and each head has 4 eyes, It's body is shaped like a body of a Lion and it has 5 snake like tails and wings of an eagle, that "thing" can release fire out their mouth and bring havoc into your world." Captain Stewart reacted "But why the hell would you people bring such savage beast into our world!!??!" Karantski answered "It wasn't us, the fire people wants to take revenge to your world for taking away their power to rule over our world." Larry asked "We took away their power to rule? But we don't even know your world exists, how could we possibly..." Karantski suddenly bugged in and said "Centuries ago, an explorer from your world named "Sir Francis Drake" accidentally found an open portal to our world, he had soldiers with him they were looking for new land to explore but they have been sucked inside one of the whirlpools too, they ended up with us, the earth people, by that time we were all under the reign of the fire people, and we were all brutally tortured, we were forced to work, forced to worship their king, forced to give our cattle and everything we have, one night the fire people's king visited our village and saw the people from your world, Sir Francis Drake and some of his surviving soldiers defended our land because they realized what the fire people was doing to us, so they fired their weapons but the fire king escaped, he then stood up and lead a rebellion against the fire people so he united the water people and wind people with us and the three elements formed an alliance lead by Sir Francis Drake, they attacked the fire people's island and forcing the surrender of the fire king. And from that day we were free from the reign of the fire people and democracy was introduced in our world, and everyone was the same, no one was rich, no one was poor except for the leader of each element of course,
who was a little richer.. And from that time on, the fire king only wanted revenge against your world, so he opened the portal and sent out the creature to kill and destroy everyone in your world. We tried to stop him, but it was too late, the water people's spies learned about this plot but I'm sorry.. It was too late." Without further talk, Captain Stewart ran outside and saw his rifle and grabbed it, but before he knew it, earth people guards stopped him from going out. Larry punched him in the face and asked him "Are you mad stewart? Where do you think you're going? We don't know anything about this place, and where you're going by yourself?" Captain Stewart answered "If there's anyone who can save our families and our friends as well back in our world, IT'S US!! so, are you coming or should I go by myself?!" Karantski gathering his men and grabbing his spear-like weapon came along and asked "Are we going to the Fire Region or what?" Captain Stewart and Larry followed, while on their boat they passed the rock of creation where it is said that the rock was formed as a result of their 2 gods who fought for the region, as a result, the 3 regions fell two the Time God and the fire region fell to the Space God, forming TIME and SPACE, which also formed their world. And they also passed by the region of exile where all the criminals and all exiled people were throw in. As they arrived on the coasts of the fire people's region they were ambushed by at least a hundred men in numbers. The Fire people have archers that fired them with blazing arrows, and infront of them were Soldiers with blazing swords and spears, TO BE CONTINUED

I saw your eyes sparkle brightly, and I begin to stumble lightly
Because in you I saw an Angel, this even made me more dangle
You noticed my dim presence, hiding behind these fences
You started to walk slowly, in your background is the open sea
This even made my heart beat faster, because I’m surely not a Love Master
You saw my face and smiled, and my mind started to go wild
My mouth produced no sound, moments later I finally found
Words I need words, how come sounds are made by birds
